Task 3: Produce rapid prototypes, test and iterative designs

The task for these few weeks are to create mockups and prototypes.

I was given the task to create the logo based on the sketch provided by my group members. I noticed the sketch is quite blurry so I polished it by tracing it in Adobe Illustrator.  I explored a few fonts and experimented with a few colours, but then decided to stick with black and white as the default skin for now. The word "FOLD" was increased and moved to the top based on the lecturer's feedback.

During the weekends, one of my group members, Vincent, who was working on the website asked me to photoshop a few images shown below.

According to him, Image 1 is the most important as it will be the main image for the website. He wants like a sky behind the figure. The other two, he wants to replace the objects with our tissue.

Image 3 is the hardest the photoshop because Vincent wanted the package to be folded, which is hard to find a mockup for.

For Image 1, I have create 3 sky variants for Vincent to pick. I believe he picked the middle one with the bright blue sky for the website.

INSTAGRAM POSTS

Throughout in creating nine posts for our Instagram, I went through 3 different designs before being replaced by another group member.

After all this, another group member takeover, which pisses me off. She didn't even use my designs for finalization, I wasted my time going through a variety of styles and photoshopped my own images for the posts.

REFLECTION

I don't like the progress of task 3. My group members keep messaging me at 2a.m or 3a.m. to do or change my designs, which ended with me burning the midnight oil. A flock of night owls, they are. I'm trying to fix my sleep schedule but these sleep-depriving demons haunt me every night before Wednesday. But the straw that breaks this camel's back, is the takeover of the Instagram posts. Usually, I would be appreciative that my group members lighten my load but they didn't use any my designs. I researched references for nothing, I stayed up late for nothing, I achieved nothing.
