Project 2A: Production Shoot
This week, I worked with several classmates as a team to complete a production shoot based on a storyboard given without supervision of the lecturer. I was the boom operator.

After the production shoot, we have to edit the footage by ourselves without following the storyboard and perform colour correction.

I wanted to edit the footage into a trailer of a choice-based game. So I inserted some choices and picked the ones that follows dialogue as I can't change that. But what I can change is the sequence of the shots so it gives off the illusion of multiple paths as the "player" select the choices.

Project 2B: TikTok/Insta video
While I don't have a TikTok account, I do watch a lot of Youtube Shorts. Most of them are new character reveals in a game, where the video display their traits, skills and attacks.

I filmed myself playing badminton in a nearby park. The app I'm using to edit is Capcut, where there are a lot of presets available.

REFLECTION

Experience
Project 2A
I had fun filming a production shoot with my teammates. Though I didn't know the microphone could be so heavy.

Project 2B
Probably the most editing I've done so far. Many images and effects were applied. The filming part, however, is quite embarrassing for me when people walked by the park. I hope they think I'm filming and not a crazy person dancing around with a badminton racket.

Observation
I noticed that the layout and format of Capcut is similar to Premier Pro, only Capcut is easier to access and edit because of its ready-made effects.

Findings
Between these two exercises in Project 2, one thing I've learned is that having a cameraman helps a lot. In Project 2B, I have to constantly checked my recorded footage, walking back and forth. Also, the sun glare makes it hard to see my phone screen. Maybe I should've asked one of my classmates to help me film.
