INSTRUCTIONS

Final Project - 5 Page Website
The objective of this final task is to create a 5-page website focused on the theme of mental health. I wanted to do depression at first but I felt most of my classmates will have the same idea so I switched it to eating disorder. The goal of the website will allow patients to book sessions.

IDEATION
Fig 1.1 Final Project Ideation, Week 13 (20.6.2023)

During the tutorial sessions, we were introduced to bootstrap, which made my life somewhat easier as I could somewhat understand coding jargon.

PROGRESS

Fig 1.2 Logo Design, Week 13 (21.6.2023)

My logo design is inspired by three symbols. One is a symbol of family with a parent protecting a child. The second consists the outline of the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA). The third is from a Greek symbol of medicine with wings, referring Hermer's ability to fly, suggesting speed and strength.

Fig 1.3 Fake Profile Pics, Week 14 (21.7.2023)

I also create profile pics for the clinic staff under "About Us". I reused the same background to create the illusion they work at the same place.

Fig 1.4 Visual Studio Code, Week 14 (22.7.2023)

My workplace in Visual Studio Code was a mess. I've forgotten the id or class or div I named my sections under. Worse, I'm not sure if I even named them. Also, I was testing out HTML and CSS commands as I was working, and I'm not sure if I delete or apply them correctly. It's all trial and error.

Fig 1.5 Scrapped Sixth Page, Week 14 (22.7.2023)

There was supposed to be page where after you filled in and submitted the form, it thanks you and takes you back to the home page, but I couldn't get it to work. The sixth page doesn't show up. As shown in Fig 1.4, my HTML files are all over the place sharing one single CSS file. I couldn't find the problem that was causing this.

FEEDBACK

Week 11

General Feedback: Do not make your wireframe complex

REFLECTION
My assignments were overlapping so I rushed through this project. I was backed into a corner. My ideation was poorly translated into Visual Studio Code, which is a shame. I'm aware that this is no excuse as I noticed my classmates are able to keep up with their assignments. My time management is poor, which reflects on this project. I was afraid to ask for feedback as I have almost nothing to show. But by suffering through this project, I learned my lesson. I just wished I know my classmates' trick on managing their time and assignments.
