CRTICAL REVIEW
Our next task is to read and analyze secondary data of five research articles. One critical review structure example is:
  1. Introduction
  2. Summary
  3. Structure
  4. Methodology
  5. Reasoning & Logic
  6. Conclusions
First Draft
Fig 1.1 First Draft, Week 5 (11.5.2023)

At this stage, I've only read two journal articles on Google Scholar. I had trouble finding recent articles so I thought to start writing a little first.

Second Draft

                                               Fig 1.2 Second Draft, Week 6 (18.5.2023)

For my second draft, I attempted to write a complete structure for an article.

Third Draft

As the due date is closing in, I managed to narrow down to five articles that I think are related. I read them at least twice and edit them on Mendeley for notes.

I read each article once, then when I read for the second time, I highlighted some sentences by colour code. I done so to help me find the similarities and differences on each article for my critical review.

FEEDBACK

Week 6
General Feedback: Before you critique a paper, read first, then note down in point form. Follow & Fulfill the marking rubric to get more marks
Specific Feedback: Critical Review is weak and vague. References not APA format version 7

Week 7
General Feedback: None
Specific Feedback: You can’t review while reading. Cannot review if you don’t have certainty & knowledge

REFLECTION

I did it again. Only, I've managed to find references this time but I couldn't read and understand all articles completely. I realise the problem is that I drag assignments from other modules, causing me time and effort. The only thing I'm proud of is that I managed to submit this task on time. I need to buck up.

FURTHER READING

Week 6

Outside of lecturer's notes, I read the a website link by UNSW Sydney on the structure of a critical review.

Introduction - Include author(s), title and topic of article. Conclude introduction with your evaluation of text

Summary - Present a number of key points a few examples. The summary should only make up about a third of the critical review

Critique - If your critique is more positive than negative, present negative points first and positive points last. Can add recommendations on how the text can be improved

Conclusion - Overall opinion of text, usually quite short
