INSTRUCTIONS
RESEARCH PROPOSAL
Our first research task is to draft and refine our research proposal, considering our areas of specialization.
Requirements:
  1. Research Problem within topic of research
  2. Research Rationale (with citation)
  3. Problem Statement (with citation)
  4. Research Objectives
  5. Research Questions
  6. Title of the research on the first page
  7. References in APA format
First Draft

My first draft is exploring the possible topics and titles I could go for.

After deciding one, I expanded my draft further by trying to imitate what I've seen of my classmates' work during the tutorial session.

After looking at some senior's examples, I prepare my draft for submission.

General Feedback: No need to read an entire article, read abstract and conclusion
Specific Feedback: What intrigues you? What’s the research problem? Choose a topic to research such as emotion, colour, story…

Week 3
General Feedback: Do research that will benefit your future project
Specific Feedback: Problem statement not solid, further research required. Research objective is vague. Cannot refer to the thesis alone, books are too long. Refer to articles only

Week 4
General Feedback: Minimum pages of article doesn’t equal to a good article
Specific Feedback: None

Week 6
General Feedback: None
Specific Feedback: Problem Statement too brief. Revise Research Objectives & Question. Title too big

REFLECTIONS

To be honest, I rushed this task a day before submission. I noticed I had trouble finding references to help support and realise my problem statement. I think one major problem is that I don't like to read. Initially, I was not aware of other scholarly websites besides Google Scholar to get articles. Hopefully, I can score more in other tasks as I know I wouldn't do good here.
